Opening another outlet: what to reuse and what to confirm again
Reuse your catalog carefully while confirming branch availability, service points, operating settings and staff access for each location.

Reuse the catalog, review the operation
A second outlet is an opportunity to reuse good menu work. It is also a new physical operation with its own service points, hours, staff and payment arrangements. Treat those two facts separately so a convenient copy does not become an incorrect configuration.
ScanFirst keeps shop catalog masters while supporting branch-specific visibility, listing, availability and price overrides. Check the branch you are editing before making a change, especially when dishes are sold at several locations.
Review subscription capacity first
Count the outlets, staff accounts, menu items, service points and printers required by the combined shop. Capacity is shared by the shop; it does not restart for every branch.
The pricing comparison shows the current limits and billing choices. Review available capacity before opening another location or inviting a large new team. For a rollout beyond a fixed tier, request a custom plan with those counts and any special requirements.
Confirm each branch's operating setup
Verify business and receipt identity, applicable tax settings, FSSAI details, opening hours and payment methods for the new branch. Confirm the settings using the operating checklist after reviewing their actual values.
The first outlet's completed setup does not complete another branch. A receipt address, collection account or closing time copied without review can cause problems even when both branches use the same menu.
Decide what is shared and what differs
- Keep common dish names and descriptions consistent in the catalog.
- Check category visibility and item listing at the new branch.
- Confirm price overrides where locations use different prices.
- Review item availability and tracked stock rather than assuming every dish is sold everywhere.
- Assign the kitchen stations and vendor scope appropriate to each operation.
For spreadsheet imports, choose the correct branch and preview the batch. Existing category settings are preserved. Importing an item does not automatically make a hidden category visible at every outlet.
Set up service points and staff
Create the new branch's tables, rooms or counters and download their own QR codes. A printed code from the first outlet should not be reused as a shortcut. Scan each code and check the location it opens.
Invite staff with the roles and branch or vendor scope they actually need. A manager responsible for several branches may need broader access than a cashier working at one location. Use individual accounts rather than sharing an owner's password across the group.
Launch and measure per branch
Start with sample practice, then place a controlled real order only after operating setup is ready. Check kitchen handling, payment collection, settlement and the receipt at the new outlet.
Each branch's launch checklist reads that branch's menu, service points and operating records. An order or settled bill from another branch does not complete its milestones. Return to the checklist when opening the next location, and review the configuration whenever service changes.
